The California State University system is comprised of 23 campuses across California. You can apply online to any of the CSU's through CSU Mentor.
Academic excellence has been achieved by the California State University through a distinguished faculty, whose primary responsibility is superior teaching. While each campus in the system has its own unique geographic and curricular character, all campuses, as multipurpose institutions, offer undergraduate and graduate instruction for professional and occupational goals as well as broad liberal education. All of the campuses require for graduation a basic program of "General Education-Breadth Requirements" regardless of the type of bachelor's degree or major field selected by the student.
The CSU offers more than 1,800 bachelor's and master's degree programs in some 357 subject areas. Many of these programs are offered so that students can complete all upper-division and graduate requirements by part-time late afternoon and evening study. In addition, a variety of teaching and school service credential programs are available. A limited number of doctoral degrees are offered jointly with the University of California and with private institutions in California. In 2005, the CSU was authorized to independently offer Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree programs for educational administrators.

The main campus is situated on 119 acres in downtown Chico, but Chico State also owns a 1,050–acre farm and five acres of off-campus dorms about one mile from the main campus. The University also manages 3,950–acre Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve and the 300–acre Butte Creek Ecological Reserve.California State University, Chico’s tradition of academic excellence goes back more than 125 years. The University was founded as Fresno State Normal School in 1911, became a teacher's college in 1921, and has offered advanced degrees since 1949. The university's popular nickname is "Fresno State." Our mascot is the Bulldog. The university is accredited by the California Board of Education and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It has 26 nationally accredited departmental programs, among the highest number within the CSU system.
Fresno State's 388-acre main campus and its 1,011-acre University Farm are located at the northeast edge of Fresno, California, at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range. California State University, Fullerton
California State University, Fullerton is a major regional university in a vital, flourishing area that includes Orange County, metropolitan Los Angeles and the expanding Inland Empire. A Commitment to the Environment
HSU students use their education to make a difference. Nearly 30 years ago students pledged to take environmental and social impact into consideration when choosing a career. The result was the Graduation Pledge, which has been adopted by universities across the globe.
Our Environmental Resources Engineering program is one of the largest and oldest programs of its kind anywhere, and students work on everything from sustainable building in the Dominican Republic to electric vehicle infrastructure studies in Humboldt County. Sustainability is even infused in disciplines where you'd least expect it, like the School of Business's MBA program or the Department of English's environmental writing courses.

The hilltop portion on the 322-acre Long Beach campus overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Eighty permanent buildings

Cal State L.A. operates year round on the quarter system. Four quarters, each 11 weeks in duration. Cal State L.A.'s six colleges offer nationally recognized science, arts, business, criminal justice, engineering, nursing, education and humanities programs at Cal State LA.

The California Maritime Academy’s waterside campus on the northern end of San Francisco Bay is tucked into a quiet cove with ever-changing views of the ever-changing maritime world. More than half of Sac State’s students join at least one of 276 student organizations, and more than 5,000 participate in the intramural sports program. California State University San Marcos
Located in the foothills of San Marcos, California (northern San Diego County), just a short distance from some of Southern California’s best beaches and an hour from the U.S.-Mexico border. Only miles from the hustle and bustle of major cities such as San Diego and Los Angeles, but nestled in a quiet, suburban neighborhood (population 55,000). While the campus is expansive (we're talking 304 acres), it's tucked into the foothills overlooking the city, creating a tight-knit community right here on campus.

The campus has more than one million square feet of facilities, all of which have been constructed since 1990. Construction is under way at the heart of the campus with the addition of our 89,000 sq. ft. student union that will open in 2014 and feature student lounges, an expansive ballroom, an outdoor amphitheatre, student centers and food services. Also in 2013, the student health and counseling services building will break ground.

Sonoma State University
While SSU generally acecpts all qualified students who apply from high schools in its service area, 80 percent of the freshmen and 55 percent of the junior transfer students come from outside the North Bay region. With 34 percent of the student body living on campus, it is one of the msot residential campuses within the California State University system.

CSU Stanislaus is a member of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program, giving students from outside of California a valuable opportunity to participate in California’s top-notch public university system. The WUE is a part of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WUE, students in Arizona, Montana, Oregon, Alaska, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Washington, Hawaii, South/North Dakota, Wyoming, and Idaho may enroll at CSU Stanislaus at a reduced tuition level: 150 percent of in-state resident tuition. WUE tuition is considerably less than nonresident tuition.
